PSYCH EVALUATION CARDS

A great tragedy of our time, this epoch of self-righteousness, is the zeal with which people would rather feel right than understand — the situation, the context, the motives and vulnerabilities behind the actions.... of   others . Growling beneath it all is an aversion to our own imperfections — we would rather look away from our own and toward the faults of others than fully step into our own shadow and enhance it with light. In so,  segregating our own nature, we abdicate our wholeness and cease being, ideally,  Human.

THE FIRST PHOTO IS, OBVIOUSLY, PHOTOSHOPPED FOR MAXIMUM YOUTHFUL GLAMOUR....THE SECOND, UN-PHOTOSHOPPED, TO SHOW HER AS A DUTIFUL GRANDMOTHER........     HOW DIFFERENTLY WE REACT TO 'PICTURES OF PEOPLE'......CURRENTLY, OVER HALF OF ALL 'SELFIE' PHOTOS ARE MANIPULATED TO RECREATE THE ILLUSION OF 'YOUTH'..... 

I went to BESTBUY  to get a  copy of "Life of Pi", noting that the parking lot was packed...unusual for a Wed. afternoon.......The automatic doors opened to a mass of young, highly animated boys-to-men, obediently waiting their turns to shoot, stab, blow up and annihilate anything that appeared on their "screens"......Appalled, even disgusted, I quickly fled through the line of bloodthirsty pubescents.....to the DVD dept......where I was immediately accosted by a women, my age, who was searching for a DVD set of some actor reading the entire Holy Bible........I ignored her, of course, as her entire mindset was both obvious and off-putting........Nevertheless, she approached me, wasting none of her time and too much of mine.......and made a comment about the COSMOS series on DVD (that was being placed on display)......"that atheist nigger will burn in hell, unless he and all those other atheist-scientists accept Jesus as their personal savior"......Someti...

                                                                                                 But, Mom!.....aren't those 'suits' made from the same cloth??

I think Brando was aware of the naive complicity that can bring about what seems to 'be'.....that can place a Fool/Tool like "our" ex-and yet again- president, DJT, on his throne and elect an adulatory 'King's Men" Congress of self-serving reactionary howler monkeys to low 'high' places.......as though they had the capacity to do our thinking for us...... I've said this before..... I'm saying it again......

An interesting experiment.. with 'subtitles, in the language of your choosing', 'ON'......and sound, totally muted.....watch Anything that's on 'TV'...... 98% of ALL PROGRAMING is accompanyed.....like in Moves.....a constant 'soundtrack', designed to keep your attention, manipulate your emotional responses and keep you from 'being bored'......I find this 'racket' very annoying....The formatting of this 'electronic noise' seems to be Universal, varying only with changing stylistic tastes......Listening to 'Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess' to today's weather forecast...for example.....Why do people NEED all this NOISE... .all the time ,,,,in their cars, in front of their eyes, during every video presentation in every format? Yet, psychologists have demonstrated that Sponge Monkeys, shouting to canned music samples marketing death knoll dining is favored by children to ANYTHING that is quietly understated....a...

As a sequel to my 'dexterity co-efficiency' series about the significance of design as it relates, as Art, to everyday objects and everyday common concepts.......question #683, of those questions that drive parents nuts when barrages of them inundate the family dinner table conversation......: What is the 'gender equivalency' of these two silver spoons? What constructs, what preconceived ideas about 'gender'? What determines our processing and instantaneous 'labeling' of just about any and everything? In what ways do we unthinkingly categorize items in everyday usage......and people, in everyday correspondences?..... Child: ' Why do people cut boxer dogs' tails off?" Parent: "That's the way God wants it to be, Little Mary.....Like, you are wearing a pink dress....because you are a girl, honey.." Child (Mary): "Then, why is Mommie wearing pants, like you,  Daddy?" and on and on.....Parents have lied to and mis...

  I have relinquished my morose nature of ea rlier today, but the anger that was suppressed by it is kicking my cobwebs....a white moth engages a black butterfly.....by scent alone, compelled... then, distracted by others.....of millions....of subsets of  thought and perception, wherein physicality is not consciously within the realms of dreaming...the chemistry of thought, having obliterated...for a fraction of a second....the nanosecond before.....a new Universe manifests via the artfulness of intuition and false memories, to reveal the Grand Incomprehensibility.......Such are the scribbled notes left on the pad by the bed, that the dreams might be remembered, in the shorthand of semi-consciousness.     

                        THE 'WHOLE' TRUTH....AND 'NOTHING BUT' THE TRUTH....OR RISK INCARCERATION        FOR PERJURY......YOU HAVE THE ASSISTANCE OF YOUR IMAGINARY GOD, YOU KNOW!  

 

 

  and....right now......the Hysteria....perpetuated by 'human nature'....largely unchanged in thousands of years.......The seemingly endless plagues in the embryological parallelism of recapitulation.....Change is seldom a quick or easy  transformation....and ungovernable emotional excess may 'upset the apple cart' as we scamper to gather them up and hoard the 'fruit' of human evolution,....Then, as civilizations topple to rubble, someone.....must be blamed, punished and destroyed....and....back to 'square one' as we lap the mess up, in the desperation of Survival.....'Look over there!'.....'No, THERE!".....

Are we, still,  just  Animals.... reacting to genetically ingrained processes directed by our primitive amygdalas?
