IN THIS MINUTE OF TIME, MILLIONS ARE STARING AT THEIR OWN IMAGES ON THE MIRRORS OF THEIR PHONES' SCREENS

A great tragedy of our time, this epoch of self-righteousness, is the zeal with which people would rather feel right than understand — the situation, the context, the motives and vulnerabilities behind the actions.... of  others.


Growling beneath it all is an aversion to our own imperfections — we would rather look away from our own and toward the faults of others than fully step into our own shadow and enhance it with light. In so,  segregating our own nature, we abdicate our wholeness and cease being, ideally,  Human.

  ONE OF A SERIES OF DRAWINGS THAT I DID WHILE VISITING FRIENDS IN SOEST, HOLLAND.......MY FRIENDS TOOK A TRIP TO RUSSIA, LEAVING ME ALONE IN THEIR HOME FOR A WEEK....DURING WHICH, I FILLED A  32CM x 46CM, SPIRAL TALENS SKETCHBOOK WITH 'AUTOMATIC DRAWINGS'....DONE, WITH A LITTLE CONSCIOUS INTERFERENCE AS POSSIBLE.......THEY WERE 'INTENDED' TO BE PROTOTYPES FOR A SERIES OF MAJOR ARCANA TAROT CARDS.....THE OLD 'TALENS' WAS LEFT IN AN ATTIC, THEN A BASEMENT BOX, THEN ANOTHER BASEMENT BOX, THEN IN MY GARAGE RAFTERS.....FOR OVER 40 YEARS, BEFORE BEING REDISCOVERED BY A FRIEND THAT WAS 'CLEARING OUT MY GARAGE'.......THE PAPER IS BRITTLE AND DAMAGED BY LEAKING ROOF WATER, HEAT AND HUMIDITY, ALTERNATING WITH FREEZING COLD....AND SOME 'CHEWING' BY RODENTS AND VISITATION BY PAPER-EATING INSECTS.....I SCANNED 'THE REMAINS', THEN PHOTOSHOPPED THE SCANS....TO REMOVE AS MUCH DAMAGE, WORM HOLES, ET CETERA......AS I HAD THE PATIENCE AND INTENTION FOR.......

BODY SHAVING.....Avidyā.....with SHAMING, through the mirroring lens of Conceit and Narcissistic Self-Obsessiveness

Negro men and women......or must I say 'Black'?......shave their heads to avoid looking 'nappy' or 'losing their hair'... spending a fortune on weaves, extentions, coloring and straightening......and further complicate their 'hair issues' with wigs, caps, hats and Muslim-ish coverings; most women shave their legs, pits and 'privates' to appear as though there is no hair/fur on their legs, bellies, butts .....well.....anywhere, other than their heads........  Our Society refers to all of this as 'Grooming'.....with immense pressure to look 'well-groomed'......  Essentially, 'this' is just GLAMOUR, isn't it?  Alice A.  Bailey wrote a book about such Maya.... the  attributeless Absolute, that is emotionally chained to the Idee Fixations of Tribal Conformity... ...
