THE EVENTUALITY OF LARGELY SUBJUNCTIVE LANGUAGE'S EVOLUTION WILL, EVENTUALLY, ENABLE BOYS TO WEAR PINK BOWS AND GIRLS TO WEAR BLUE ONES.....



 




Partially because English lacks some of the language devices that are incorporated in the development of some other languages, there exists an ambiguity within our usage of singular epicene antecedents....... For example: someone left "their" book at the restaurant........Is this person male or female? "Their" implies more than one person, doesn't it? I was taught in elementary school to use the masculine pronoun unless the antecedent has been already established.......EXAMPLE: Mary left "her" book at the restaurant....... When the antecedent is unclear, we say "Someone left "his" book at the restaurant.... but never "someone left "their" book at the restaurant, unless the book belonged to more than one person....... There must be an acceptable workaround, but I see scant evident of this in modern English usage.

Watching a documentary film about transgender/dysphoric humans, I noted the hesitation and discomfort of parents, consciously trying to remember to 'not refer to their offspring as "he" OR "she"'....instead, using 'they' in all references to 'it'.....I've been 'corrected' several times for not adhering to current petty protocols of 'epithelial etiquette'......yet, I am not at 'liberty' to correct the general, egregious lapses of sensibility regarding 'speaking clearly'......Here's the 'trade off'.......'you' quit using 'well, uh'; 'you know'; 'like'; 'honestly'; 'actually' and 'really'.....and I'll make an effort to discisgender (v) ambiguous personal identities.....I'm still cringing when I 'must' convert "what is she/he doing, now?" to "what ARE 'they' doing, now?" I'm reviving the Subjunctive and, perhaps, the Passive Paraphrastic.......I 'know' what I'm saying!


SHOULD 'WE' JUST 'GO BEIGE', TO QUELL THE UNCOMFORTABLE UNCERTITUDE?

BODY SHAVING.....Avidyā.....with SHAMING, through the mirroring lens of Conceit and Narcissistic Self-Obsessiveness

Negro men and women......or must I say 'Black'?......shave their heads to avoid looking 'nappy' or 'losing their hair'... spending a fortune on weaves, extentions, coloring and straightening......and further complicate their 'hair issues' with wigs, caps, hats and Muslim-ish coverings; most women shave their legs, pits and 'privates' to appear as though there is no hair/fur on their legs, bellies, butts .....well.....anywhere, other than their heads........  Our Society refers to all of this as 'Grooming'.....with immense pressure to look 'well-groomed'......  Essentially, 'this' is just GLAMOUR, isn't it?  Alice A.  Bailey wrote a book about such Maya.... the  attributeless Absolute, that is emotionally chained to the Idee Fixations of Tribal Conformity... ...
