DID THE PAINTINGS OF ALBRIGHT INFLUENCE THOSE OF GIGER?......I WONDER.....SPRING FLOWERS GROW NOT FROM A DARK, STAINED PALETTE....

This morning, while researching the dark inspirations for H.R. Giger's paintings.....and recalling his grisly creature, designed for the 1979 Ridley Scott Film, "ALIEN".....I encounted this painting, by Ivan Le Lorraine Albright, who painted the equally grisly 'portrait of Dorian Gray'...for the 1945 film of the same name. 







 

The Darkness that we can see, is but a manifestation....it is not Real, but....rather...it may be that last, in an infinite series of Lasts, expression of realizable matter in this, of many.....innumerably many....materializations from what we, in this Universe, consider Nothing.... Here, and Now, Art is required.....the Art of Realizations.
