  ONE OF A SERIES OF DRAWINGS THAT I DID WHILE VISITING FRIENDS IN SOEST, HOLLAND.......MY FRIENDS TOOK A TRIP TO RUSSIA, LEAVING ME ALONE IN THEIR HOME FOR A WEEK....DURING WHICH, I FILLED A  32CM x 46CM, SPIRAL TALENS SKETCHBOOK WITH 'AUTOMATIC DRAWINGS'....DONE, WITH A LITTLE CONSCIOUS INTERFERENCE AS POSSIBLE.......THEY WERE 'INTENDED' TO BE PROTOTYPES FOR A SERIES OF MAJOR ARCANA TAROT CARDS.....THE OLD 'TALENS' WAS LEFT IN AN ATTIC, THEN A BASEMENT BOX, THEN ANOTHER BASEMENT BOX, THEN IN MY GARAGE RAFTERS.....FOR OVER 40 YEARS, BEFORE BEING REDISCOVERED BY A FRIEND THAT WAS 'CLEARING OUT MY GARAGE'.......THE PAPER IS BRITTLE AND DAMAGED BY LEAKING ROOF WATER, HEAT AND HUMIDITY, ALTERNATING WITH FREEZING COLD....AND SOME 'CHEWING' BY RODENTS AND VISITATION BY PAPER-EATING INSECTS.....I SCANNED 'THE REMAINS', THEN PHOTOSHOPPED THE SCANS....TO REMOVE AS MUCH DAMAGE, WORM HOLES, ET CETERA......AS I HAD THE PATIENCE AND INTENTION FOR.......

AFTER THE 'GOD' HAULS THE ORB OF THE SUN ACROSS THE SKY, ILLUMINATING THE DARK EARTH.....HE RETIRES FOR THE WINTER....IN HYPERBOREA....WHERE, AS 'SANTA CLAUS', HE SUPERVISES THE BUILDING OF CHILDEN'S WISH-FULFILMENT PRAYERS....RETURNING ON A REGULAR BASIS, TO REIFY CHILDREN'S RELIGIOUS INDULCATIONS, THUS....PERPETUATING THIS DELUSIONAL NETWORK....
